LENTEN JOURNEY 2024 READING ST. BASIL THE GREAT ON “THE HUMAN CONDITION”

Join us on our Lenten journey through letters and sermons of St Basil the Great, while enjoying fellowship and a soup supper together. Soup begins at 6PM. Discussion lasts from 6:45 till 7:30PM. We complete the night with Compline.

St. Basil (born in 330AD) was known for his fierce defense of the Trinity and his revolutionary methods of caring for the poor. We will be reading through a collection of St Basil’s writings on the human condition. Copies will soon be available with a suggested donation at the book table in the foyer. Each section is short and easy to read.

If you would like to sign up for bringing a soup or side, please contact Fr. Adam Gosnell at office@lightofchristgeorgetown.org.
